A West Kelowna winery is feeling the warm glow of giving. One of the Okanagan’s most iconic wineries is providing partial proceeds from Rosé wine sales to the BC Hospitality Foundation.

Quails’ Gate Winery will donate $5 from every magnum of 2019 Limited Edition Rosé purchased on-site to the charity until July 1. Quails’ Gate released the rosé in celebration of their 30th vintage.

The limited-edition Rosé is made primarily from Gamay Noir and Pinot Noir grapes grown in the winery’s vineyards. Offering aromas of ripe red fruits, this rose is light and fruity on the palate while offering depth and balance and a refreshing, crisp finish.

“The new release label was destined for BC restaurants this summer, says Quails’ Gatemarketing director Maggie Peek. “Our focus now is on finding ways to ensure those establishments are able to weather the storm.”

Funds raised by the program will help the BC Hospitality Foundation continue to provide last-resort assistance for hospitality workers in financial crisis due to a serious health condition. The charity also offers a scholarship program that fosters the next generation of hospitality industry leaders.

Rosé magnums are available at Quails’ Gate wine shop for $39.99 with $5 from each bottle sold donated to the Foundation. Find Quails’ Gate Estate Winery at 3303 Boucherie Road in West Kelowna. Wine Shop hours are from 11 am to 5 pm.
