Raincity is about to hit Penticton and fans are getting ready to funk it up!
This Vancouver-based rage-funk band, led by a powerful female duo on saxophone and vocals, has been making waves in the Canadian music scene for years, and their unique blend of influences — ranging from Moon Hooch and Amy Winehouse to Queen and Rage Against the Machine — creates a sound that’s as irresistible as it is unforgettable.
With over 300 performances under their belt, Raincity has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Our Lady Peace, Bif Naked, and Five Alarm Funk, and they’ve played at legendary venues like the Commodore Ballroom and The Bill Reid Amphitheater. But it’s their explosive live shows that truly set them apart, providing a platform for their values of feminism, empowerment, and freedom of expression.
Raincity’s upcoming concert at The Dream Café in Penticton on May 18, 2023, is sure to be one for the books. This cozy café has a reputation for hosting some of the best musical acts in the region, and Raincity’s unique sound will no doubt electrifying the venue’s intimate setting. Fans can expect to hear some of the group’s most popular songs, including “City Lights,” “Lost in the Woods,” and “Hometown,” along with some new material from their latest album, “A Proper Latte.”
Raincity is constantly evolving and their commitment to their craft is evident in every aspect of their performance. Don’t miss your chance to experience the magic of Raincity at The Dream Café. See more at thedreamcafe.ca/events
