Winery offers estate-wide egg hunt for the kids and a “Hoppy Hour” for parents
On Sunday, April 9, Phantom Creek Estates will host a series of “egg-cellent” Easter events for the whole family, including Easter egg hunts, members’-only events, a special dine-in family lunch menu at The Restaurant at Phantom Creek, a takeaway meal kit for the family, and special pricing on select wines.
The fun kicks off at 10 am on Sunday starting with an estate-wide egg hunt for the kids and a “Hoppy Hour” for parents, with special pricing on select wines until 11 am. No reservation is needed.
The Great Phantom Easter Egg Hunt begins at 11 am for wine club members. This free-for-members Easter egg estate tour is 60 minutes long and includes details about the cycle of the vines, bud burst, and Phantom Creek’s biodynamic approach in the vineyard. It ends with a tasting by Neel Hirlekar of three wines from the spring release alongside a signature macaron pairing created by Chef Alessa and her team.
Make a reservation here for the 11 a.m. tour, and here for the 2 p.m. tour.
From 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m an Easter celebration lunch will be served at The Restaurant. This festive and delicious three-course family-style meal includes a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. After a bright spring salad, guests can choose from mains that include roasted lamb saddle with oyster mushrooms and polenta; or a spring risotto with fava beans, peas, grana padano, and pea shoots.
Kids can opt for rigatoni, and for dessert, there’s Easter carrot cake with white chocolate ganache, candied ginger, walnut sable, carrot agro dolce, and vanilla ice cream. Easter decorations make it egg-stra special; the cost per person is $65. Limited availability. For more details, see phantomcreekestates.com/event/easter-feast.
For those who prefer to celebrate at home, Chef Alessa is also packing up the Easter Celebration meal in a meal kit to-go, featuring the same crisp salad, mouth-watering roasted lamb saddle and seasonal dessert, for $50 per person. Ordered in advance, the meal kit can be picked up at the winery on April 9, or for local residents from Kelowna to Osoyoos, it can be delivered at no extra charge.
Special pricing is also available for accompanying wines (limit 3 wines per order): 2021 Rose, $30; 2020 Viognier, $36; 2018 Estate Petite Cuvee, $40.50. Place your order online.
