The Okanagan Symphony Orchestra has announced the launch of its 2022/2023 season. Ticket sales for returning subscribers are now available.

Music Director Rosemary Thomson extends a warm welcome. “I am so looking forward to making live music for you, something which I will never take for granted again,” she says.

This season of eight mainstage concerts, enhanced by the OSO’s robust education and community programming, is marked by first-time appearances by several distinguished artists, and the return of a number of audience favourites.

“Our repertoire has a balance of traditional gems from the standard orchestral canon and new works from the composers of today,” says Thomson.  “I am particularly excited to feature compositions by female composers on all of our mainstage programs.”

Renowed pianist Angela Change will kick off the season in October. For the Christmas season, watch for tenor Ken Lavigne and the Okanagan Children’s Choir in a festive evening of song and celebration. In the spring, the spectrum singers join the Gary Cable Project for an orchestral rock odyssey.

New subscribers and single ticket purchasers are welcome to buy as of Monday, September 26. Flexible subscription packages and several options for enjoying the Symphony at a lower price point is helping to make OSO accessible to all.

Full season passes for eight shows are $440 while a pick-four pack is $240 for adults.
